What we need:

Manually place swatches on to sample boards and bevel swatches of varying size.

What you'll do:

• Swatch, Straighten, bevel swatches and tops.
• Recording quality and output measures and completing other paperwork.
• Occasionally will be required to stack materials.
• Occasionally will trim excess glue seal and stack carpets.
• Occasionally will feed boards onto a glue line conveyor, keep log of sample Work Orders produced, and quantity completed of each Work Order for specific glue line, and sends color guide down swatching line.
• Ability to view and discern similar colors and be able to determine pile direction of swatches.
• Duties are performed under general supervision following standard work procedures and guidelines.
• Checks material for defects before beginning the order product and during completion.
• Records quality and output measures and completes any other necessary paperwork.
• Performs general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Performs other duties as required.

What you are good at:

• Must be an effective team member.
• Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.
• Ability to view and discern similar colors.
• Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training programs.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Reads and writes in standard English and proficient performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.

What else:

• Occasionally required to kneel. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout a 10- hour shift.

• Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, and stoop.

• Must be able to work 10-hour shifts either day or night, weekdays, or weekends as scheduled.

• Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations.

• Working conditions include hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and noise.

• Requires standing more than 2/3 of time.
