MCA, your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking Mass Notification Systems (MNS) Field Technician at our Anniston, Alabama location to support our growing Data division. The MCA Data division provides connectivity solutions utilize radio, cellular networks, MPLS, optical networks, and microwave backhaul technologies, giving our customers a constant connection wherever and whenever you need.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Perform installation of Siren/Warning equipment on poles, buildings and other structures.
• Operating excavation and auger equipment as well as boom lift and bucket truck
• Drive and two heavy trucks / equipment to worksites
• Travel to job sites for up to two-weeks.
• Reads and interprets site plans and equipment specifications.
• May supervise others in the absence of the foreman.
• Performs light maintenance and servicing work in connection with the operation of heavy equipment.
• Adheres to safe work practices.
• Occasional overtime, after-hours, and/or weekends when needed to maintain schedule or restore service for customers.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the operation of various construction and maintenance equipment and trucks.
• Must pass a pre-employment Drug Screen and Maintain Drug Free Status while employed
• Acceptable pre-employment background screen.
• Maintain a Safe Driving Record
• Hold Valid CDL Driver's License
• Requires background checks and drug screening with hair follicle test.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear, utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend / descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
