About this opportunity:
As a Data Analyst on the Marketing Operations team, you will design and implement business intelligence solutions and reporting to support the broader refined products team.

The reports, dashboards, and critical metrics that you help implement will improve business processes, drive efficiency, and assist in portfolio optimization. The main focus will be on project work and regular reporting, but you may also be involved in supporting and improving existing business processes and solutions. This includes, but is not limited to: trouble-shooting, problem-solving, research, fact-finding, and ad hoc analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing analytical support for the team's economics, pricing, and forecasting functions.
  • Supporting program development and delivery with analytics and reporting.
  • Supporting marketers in analyzing business opportunities and contract portfolio optimization.
  • Tracking variables and quantifying impacts of operational and pricing factors.
  • Providing statistical analyses and information regarding business activities.
  • Finding ways to use sophisticated analytics to optimize marketing activities and provide value chain optimization inputs.
  • Developing means of automating routine business functions and update processes and reports to align with corporate data standards and practices.
  • Providing input and data visualizations for business unit strategies and management presentations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Analytics disciplines, Data Science, Accounting Information Systems, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related area required.
  • Minimum of three (3) - five (5) years of relevant experience in functional analysis and design of analytics and reporting solutions required
  • Consideration will be provided to new graduates with a solid technical background
  • Experience with any of the following: data analytics, and/or reporting technologies, such as Spotfire, R, UIPath, Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft SSRS, Tableau, WebI/SAP BusinessObjects, ACL, and/or other related technologies required.
  • Proficiency in any of: R, Oracle, SQL, VB Script, and/or PowerShell associated with the extraction, transformation, and/or loading of data (i.e., query design) required.
