Opportunity Proposition
In November 2019, Mass General Brigham (MGB) unveiled a five-year strategic plan to create the premier integrated health care system of the future built on the strong reputations of MGB's academic medical centers.

As part of MGB's strategic plan, marketing is going through a comprehensive evolution into being an externally focused consumer-oriented and data-driven function. The group will focus on bringing the art and science together and have a growth mindset.

As a key member of the Hospital & Specialty Marketing team, you will play an integral role in marketing MGB hospitals, specialties, facilities and other offerings to acquire new customers, enhance loyalty, build brands, and grow business results. You will also play a key role in contributing to the consumer-oriented, data-driven approach being shaped at MGB.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Principal Responsibility
As a key member of the Hospital & Specialty Growth Marketing team, help develop and execute marketing plans to grow the revenue and profitability of Mass General Brigham Cancer and Mass General Brigham Gene & Cell Therapy marketing activities. Expand the number of patients served and the lifetime value of those patients; support key system-wide initiatives including the launch of new service offerings; and build the system's reputation and referral volume among medical professionals.

Principal Duties
• Execute and implement marketing programs that support Cancer, Gene & Cell Therapy and related initiatives.
• Provide optimization support, account management, creative execution, project management, budgeting, results and impact tracking of marketing programs for prioritized areas and initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and other key partners to understand business goals and priorities, develop plans and deliver results. Update regularly, earn their trust and guide marketing resources to deliver profitable growth for those entities.
• Putting the patient at the center, support strategies to improve and coordinate system-wide patient experiences, increase customer loyalty, and decant primary and secondary care to the most convenient locations, while freeing capacity at AMCs and specialty hospitals for the more complex cases.
• Work with marketing colleagues to develop compelling creative executions and content that engage our customers, drive incremental revenue and profitability, enhance loyalty and build our brands.
• Regularly inform key partners across the organization to ensure integrated, well-coordinated marketing implementation

Develop and Execute Strategic Integrated Marketing Plans
Develop and implement strategic multi-channel marketing plans for Cancer and Gene & Cell Therapy priorities. Engage hospital, service line and/or initiative leadership, as well as marketing colleagues, to develop comprehensive marketing programs and then work with other MGB Marketing colleagues to implement these programs and measure results.

• Execute on marketing strategies, priorities and critical metrics for Mass General Brigham Cancer and Mass General Brigham Gene & Cell Therapy and other initiatives.
• Deliver robust marketing activity for key priorities, to drive brand strength, customer acquisition, loyalty, and improved patient experience. Marketing plans will include customer insights & research, competitive review, KPIs, financial goals, multichannel advertising, patient experience initiatives, website user experience enhancements, partnerships, creative development approach, and measurement & analytics.
• Work with system and entity leadership to refine plans, gain additional insight and earn support for marketing plans.
• Help develop compelling creative working with agency and internal resources to promote customer engagement and compel target audiences to take action.
• Work with Performance Analytics colleagues to develop and implement measurement plans to ensure effective programs, continual learning and significant return on investment. Conduct A/B tests, pilots, and other experiments to continually learn and improve.

Qualifications
Qualifications:

• Succesful marketing management experience within hospital/healthcare organization, agencies or consumer brands.
• Experience developing marketing plans and executing them to successful conclusion
• Account management and project management experience
• Experience building, promoting and managing brands in a complex architecture with multiple brands and sub-brands.
• Experience in using marketing analytics/insights and analytics tools to further optimize both paid and organic campaign strategies.
• Healthcare marketing experience is a plus.
• Requires minimal direction from leadership and possesses the ability to learn quickly.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural, diverse environment.
• 10+ years relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• MBA preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates capacity to communicate effectively with senior leadership. Has strong interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Will indirectly provide leadership and guidance to cross functional teams

Fiscal Responsibility:
• Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by effectively using Mass General Brigham resources

Working Conditions:
MGB has implemented special remote working policies due to COVID-19. These policies are subject to change; however, it is currently expected that this position will work remotely (e.g. from home) full time until otherwise noted.

If onsite:
• Possible local travel to MGB sites, vendors, and conferences
• Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
