Marketing Intelligence & Google Tag Analyst II to join our Business Intelligence and Analytics’ Department within the Marketing Division. This position will take the lead on developing processes for effective data analysis, tagging and reporting. They will drive effective measurement, create capabilities to explore data in new ways, and consult on strategic data opportunities. They will focus on finding trends within data and provide potential suggestions for areas of opportunity to our paid teams for campaign improvements. Additionally, they will need to establish best practices for all Google Analytics, reporting working alongside our paid social, search, email teams and implementing tracking capabilities in Google Tag Manager for customized event reporting, and develop Google Cloud Platform capabilities (Big Query).

This person will need to display and implement proper digital marketing and advertising methodologies for analysis and data mining ensuring timely tracking, documentation, reproducibility, scalability, and insights that are actionable and used to improve future business initiatives, challenges, and efforts.

Responsibilities:

Statistical and Predictive Modeling

  • Collaborate with Marketing & Paid teams on creation and maintenance of KPI dashboards (Google Data Studio)
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Paid search, social, email, display teams to improve the marketing department's capabilities, and effectiveness with quantifying and measuring the business impact of all projects, campaigns, etc.
  • System governance: GA, GDS, & GTM
  • Manage process and training to ensure campaign tracking employed as needed on all digital marketing campaigns run by our internal agency
  • Develop and manage a GTM audit process
  • UTM campaign parameters, tools, process & training
  • Implement methods using cross team collaboration to identify opportunities for advanced analytics on customer behavior and site performance
  • Use marketing data, web data, and sales data to create a comprehensive overview to guide and improve user experience
  • Use expertise to inform the company of trends, best practices and other information related to data
  • Conducting Google Analytics analysis
  • Writing advanced SQL coding
  • Analyzing A/B test findings
  • Develop data insight and analysis to assess the relative value of clients and business opportunities to facilitate prioritization in customer retention and development efforts.
  • Deployment into a production environment for end users to utilize in a report, dashboard, and/or application.
  • Understand business challenges to develop and prepare customer target lists for CRM campaigns for Salesforce product suite include and not limited to Marketing Cloud, FSC and Tableau CRM (old Einstein).
  • Build experimental design and implementation of A/B and Multivariate tests needed to improve funnel performance (from awareness to purchase McKinsey Customer Journey) and channel efficiency to improve marketing and business decisions.
  • Perform information gathering and analysis for new business initiatives to design and develop impact scenarios.
  • Writing reusable Java, HTLM, SQL, R and Python code.
  • Responsible to write development documentation according with Amerant guidelines.
Other
  • Partners with other data user to define the data quality expectation in the context of the specific use case
  • Collaborate with other BIA and Marketing team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Decision-Making
  • Design, development and implementation of complex data insight and maintain all tagging for the Marketing organization to solve business problems including CRM campaigns, web and digital analytics, segmentation, acquisition, marketing mix model analytics, up-selling, customer profiling, customer behavior models among other business-related topics to be used across the entire organization.
  • Validate and maintain BIA assets portfolio
  • Strict confidentiality of sensitive performance and customer data (Full data access privilege).

Functional Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
  • Master Google Marketing Platform Suite, GA, GTM, GO, and GDS.
  • Conduct business process analysis and needs assessment to align Marketing solutions with business initiatives.
  • Salesforce experience working with Marketing Dashboards
  • Coordination of multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Team player with the ability to work under pressure, maintain a professional image and be able to resolve problems and conflicts.
  • Prioritize work, effectively manage time and adapt to changes.
  • Self-motivation, resourcefulness, initiative, and delivery of consistent follow-through.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Professional skills such as advanced statistics, effective presentation skills, conducting effective meetings and research assessment.
  • Handle large, complex and dispersed databases, merging of data sets, and data manipulation efforts.
  • Manage project tasks, timelines and deliverables related to analytics and campaigns.
  • Ability to successfully present customer insights and project findings to upper management in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
Minimum Education and/or Certifications Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM program.
  • DataCamp, EDx, Coursera or similar institution certifications in Web Analytics, MarTech, Open-Source Coding (or able to demonstrate coding ability)
  • Google Analytics accreditation
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in:
  • Digital marketing and marketing intelligence analysis roles, using data insights and attribution models to deliver solutions and improve marketing performance.
  • Experience with SEO, SEM, and Social listening capabilities (Yext, Lucky Orange, SemRush)
  • Experience in digital reporting and tagging
  • Experience with API technology
    • +2 years of experience in complex projects. Experience in the financial industry, service industry or mass market (CPG) preferred.
    Technical and/or Other Essential Knowledge:
    • Mastery:
      • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
      • Salesforce and Marketing Cloud
      • Coding: MS/Oracle SQL Server, Java, HTML, JQuery, Big Query
      • Google Data Studio,
      • Microsoft Office: MS Excel Advanced and MS PowerPoint Advanced
    • Proficiency:
      • Building Application: Shiny, Dash or similar
      • Data Viz: PowerBI or Tableau
    • Knowledge:
      • Analytics Unstructured Data: non-SQL – Mongo, Hadoop, Cassandra, Hive
      • Project management, organizational: MS Project, MS Visio, MS SharePoint, and Teamwork, Jira, or similar
      • General knowledge of marketing, financial products and services, management and project control and management.
      • Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable.
