Overview / Responsibilities

Wood's Consulting business is growing, and we are seeking a talented Manufacture Execution System (MES) Solution Lead to support a new service line. Ideally this role would be seated out of Houston, TX, but a remote working arrangement will be considered for the right candidate.

The MES Solution Lead will play a key role in developing organizational capability and defining the direction for this new team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in the entire system solutions project cycle (ie. the ability to understand business problem, write development requirements and specifications, design the system solution based on the customer requirements, and lead the project team to implementation). Key Responsibilities:

• Support business development in identifying opportunities to implement MES (Aspen or PI) system for prospective clients
• Design MES system architecture (using Aveva PI and/or Aspen IP.21) to meet the business requirements with industry knowledge and IT knowledge
• Help translate a wide variety of client needs/requirements into detailed proposals and project plans to meet project's requirements
• Leading project team to build and implement MES solutions (using Aveva MES and/or Aspen MES products including IP.21, Aspen Production Execution System, Aspen Production Record Manager)etc.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Contribution and assessment of business requirements

Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Process or Chemical preferred) or Computer Science is required
• Minimum 5 years of MES project experience with Aveva MES and/or Aspen MES products including IP.21, Aspen Production Execution System, Aspen Production Record Manager ; ideally in Oil and Gas, Power Utility, Manufacturing, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals industries
• Prefer to have basic knowledge in at least one programing language (SQL Scripting knowledge is a strong asset)
• Intermediate knowledge in MS SQL Server database and/or other database skills; understanding the concept of relational database with keys and dependencies, knows how to read/modify queries
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work within a team and independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of project/application stakeholders
• Work experience with cloud-based solution is preferred
• Must be a US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US, without sponsorship from Wood
