This position is responsible for creating merchandising strategies, facilitating execution, communication, and training of the field team, for in-store implementation. As well as analyzing execution for process improvement, with regards to store instruction, support, fixtures, and visual accuracy.
  • Facilitate processes and partner with Visual Managers in creating breakthrough displays/presentations that will excite the customer and generate a 'WOW' factor.
  • Create visual presentations that will maximize the Guest's shopping experience, increase sales, and further enhance the Spirit brand.
  • Act as liaison between Visual Merchandise and Store Operations departments to ensure cohesive visual presentation and layout execution.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandisers to determine store instruction and training practices for execution of merchandising strategies.
  • Contribute to design/creation/editing of visual merchandise manuals with detailed directions on how to execute merchandising strategies, using visual and written instruction.
  • Answer technical questions regarding merchandising strategies, in which involved.
  • Coordinate Model Store operations and manage seasonal staff.
  • Review all new field training strategies with Director, obtaining approvals prior to plan execution.
  • Assess store design, fixtures, merchandising impact, operational issues and make recommendations for increased productivity.
  • Provide support to the field through store visits in which operational/visual matters are discussed and guidance/solutions are provided as needed.
  • Maintain timelines and budget with all merchandise strategies in which involved.
  • Assist with management of special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive software experience including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, and Photoshop, for use in creating manuals and planograms, as well as familiarity with Google SketchUp, or similar 3D/architectural software, for store layout development.
Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
  • Must exhibit versatility and creativity.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Previous retail store and/or DSM management experience.
  • Travel required
