Reporting to the System Director of Service Delivery and Engineering, the Telecommunications Manager plans, manages, and evaluates all aspects of telecommunications operations in a dual Avaya and Cisco environment.

Responsibilities

This position involves both leadership and ability to be hands-on.

Your impact:

• Acting as a manager, liaison, advisor, project manager and technician on technical telecom issues within the Tower Health enterprise
• Developing new ideas, systems and technology, and analyzing and improving the existing infrastructure all within a Change Management framework
• Working with vendors and internal teams for system design, acquisition, repair, modifications, training, etc.
• Establishing, managing, and maintaining carrier services for both voice and data to include telephone switches, fax, voice mail and unified messaging
• Managing and optimizing staffing levels for all shifts, overseeing Analyst activity during designated shifts, and creating all statistical reports dealing with the activity and problem types
• Facilitating escalated resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Using voice and network monitoring tools and established procedures to continually monitor designed network and system monitoring devices

Qualifications

Experience

• Relevant experience in telecom.

Required Skills

• Technically knowledgable with telecommunications with recent hands-on technical skills with Avaya and/or Cisco. Must be capable of technical escalation and able to assist and support when needed
• Excellent Communications, Interpersonal, Leadership, and Listening skills
• MS Suite Procifiency

Education Requirements

• 4 year Bachelor's Degree. Combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
