Description:
Assumes financial and operation responsibility for all ambulatory sites inventory, store rooms, linen, shipping/receiving, courier services and mail. Responsible for implementing cost savings through inventory optimization, operational improvements as well as efficient and effective supply chain processes. Responsible for all supply distribution and other supply chain responsibilities for Home Health. Position includes strong partnering and collaboration with medical, administration and clinical/nursing leadership. Continually evaluates progress toward objectives and maintains efficient and effective day-to-day operations.

Responsible for all supply distribution and other supply chain responsibilities for Home Health. Position includes strong partnering and collaboration with medical, administration and clinical/nursing leadership. Continually evaluates progress toward objectives and maintains efficient and effective day-to-day operations.

II. Position Responsibilities:

In collaboration with senior management and ambulatory clinical leadership, assists in establishing standards and strategic initiatives to support organizational patient care goals. With leadership, participates in establishing standards for quality, safety, regulatory, and service. Creates and manages processes which contribute to continual performance improvement. Actively supports and promotes process improvement within areas of responsibility.

Develop strategies to ensure supply, equipment, and linen availability while reducing operational costs. Develop metrics and uses benchmarking data to ensure best practices. Utilizing sound supply chain techniques as well as new technology to achive optimal levels of inventory.

Designs and implements communication tools within the facility to provide timely information regarding stock availability, recall alerts, process changes, and/or other departmental objectives. Meets regularly with facilities to ensure good communication and builds instrumental relationships to support departmental and organizational goals.

Assists with implementation and maintains systems and functions to achieve organizational objectives and maximize efficiency of departmental operations. Recruits, interviews and selects staff in collaboration with Human Resources and ensures that staffing guidelines/standards are maintained. Maintains appropriate measurements of quality and productivity to evaluate systems and staffing. Assists with development and implementation of policies and management/operational structures to ensure continuous quality care, patient access, customer service excellence and enhanced profitability.

Key member of various LUMC MEOC comittees. Provides support and ideas regarding new supplies, supply conversions, and trials to ensure all changes are seamless and properly communicated. Works with supply chain management team and ambulatory leadership to ensure consistency in processes.

Develops staff and management to use abilities and talents to accomplish goals. Regularly evaluates staff and management and provides feedback related to achievement of established organizational and departmental goals. Completes annual performance assessments.

Provides support for the Home Health division in regards to supply and equipment management and other supply chain functions. Meets with Home Health leadership to ensure good communication and builds instrumental relationships. Effectively communicates and implements supply chain initiatives and processes.

Minimum Education:

Required: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred: Masters Degree

Minimum Experience:

Required: 6-10 years of previous job-related experience

Preferred: 10+ years of previous job-related experience

Managerial Experience: 3-5 years

Licensure/Certifications:

Preferred: Six Sigma Green Belt
