Your Role

Reporting to the Head of Sourcing Highly Regulated Raw Materials Life Sciences to support what is being produced on site in Carlsbad. You will be accountable for developing, managing and executing the sourcing strategies for Biologics and Highly Regulated Raw Materials within the Contract Manufacturing sites and coordinating special projects such as Make vs Buy or Working Capital Initiatives.

You will be part of the Procurement, Sourcing Life Science organization and will collaborate with the procurement network globally. You will also partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing/Product Management and R&D leaders to identify opportunities in these product areas. In this highly visible role, you will be expected to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within the corporate and divisional levels, to drive value and significantly impact bottom-line profitability.

Located in Carlsbad (California), occasional travel within or outside US may be required once the global situation will make it possible again. We need a proactive, flexible, passionate team player capable of forming strong relationships - a must to succeed in this global organization.

Who you are:

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in science (Biology or Chemistry) with 5+ years of experience OR PhD/MBA with 3+ years of experience in industry Biologics/Pharma or Medical Device
• 5+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain
• 3+ years working with both internal and external clients strategically

Preferred:

• Purposeful, passionate and positive attitude
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Project Management background/experience
• Sourcing activities with expansion in contract manufacturing with gene editing
• Can work independently without supervision
• Proficient at thinking and acting strategically, generating innovative solutions and influencing change
• Able to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive environment
• Time zone flexibility working within a global environment
