What you'll do: As the Manager Quality Assurance you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of licensed and clinical products manufactured here in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Responsibilities:

  • Auditing internal and external - applying risk based strategy.
  • Change management applying a risk based approach.
  • Operational Excellence using tools such as DMAIC and root cause analysis.
  • Managing "quality at the source" utilizing on the floor real time review and investigations.
  • Managing work and data utilizing electronic system tools such as Trackwise and SAP.
  • Managing product release utilizing detailed process flows.
  • Managing training for manufacturing, QA and other related support functions.
  • Line management and staff supervision includes scheduling, recruiting and performance management.
Qualifications

Crucial Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a science / technical field such as, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience

Crucial:
  • 7+ years in a biotech/pharmaceutical industry with Bachelors
  • 2+ years in a supervisory role
Desirable:
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
