Develop and execute operational schedules and planning systems to enhance service levels, minimize operating costs, and optimize inventory levels. Manage and provide support to individuals responsible for site local procurement, SAP reporting, inventory reporting, and packaging planning & scheduling, ensuring the achievement of established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Serve as a technical resource, business leader, and mentor, offering guidance and support to employees in their roles. As the Manager of Planning and Scheduling, you will be responsible for:Utilize analytical tools such as SAP, GRASP, and related planning databases to optimize master schedules, ensuring they meet customer and business requirements while minimizing total supply chain costs.Collaborate closely with the global supply chain to ensure accurate interpretation of Customer Forecasts and Demand Information into SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) and SAP MRP systems, while ensuring the proper functioning of demand planning systems.Lead teams leveraging process improvement methodologies and APICS best practices to drive positive business outcomes.Measure and enhance planning metrics, utilizing capacity models for long-term business planning. Identify and propose solutions to address ongoing or emerging supply chain issues.Foster a corporate safety culture and actively participate in committees aimed at improving department, site, or company performance in areas such as safety, quality, inventory, output, and costs.Develop direct reports by monitoring and evaluating their work performance, providing necessary training, and offering solutions to improve systemic or human behavior discrepancies.Coordinate cross-functional activities to achieve targeted service levels and promptly address employee concerns or performance issues.Participate in new hire interviews and assess potential candidates effectively to facilitate the selection of strong candidates.Act as a backup for staff during their absences or when assistance is required due to increased workload.Apply expertise to current and future projects, particularly those involving SAP systems.Perform miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.Demonstrate exemplary attendance and adhere to assigned schedules.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is required.Strong leadership skills demonstrated through progressively increasing responsibilities.At least 5 years of industrial experience, with a minimum of 3 years in production planning or scheduling functions utilizing MRP and/or ERP systems.Minimum of 1 year of experience working with forecasting-based software, such as SAP or Logility.Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA is preferred.CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) and/or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification is preferred.Demonstrated leadership ability in implementing process improvement techniques to reduce costs, enhance service levels, and increase capacity.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent teamwork and training abilities.Proficiency in word processing, database management, and Excel.Solid mathematical background, including knowledge of the metric system and conversion of units of measure.Experience in supply chain management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), capacity planning, forecasting, and planning and scheduling techniques.
