Position Summary:

The Manager of Marketing Automation will lead and develop a team of Marketing Automation experts and be responsible for maintaining our marketing automation technology solutions across multiple lines of business. This highly visible role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, clients, partners, and oversee the production of programs aiming to engage, educate, acquire, and nurture patients.

The ideal candidate is highly technical, very organized, results driven, with strong attention to detail and has a passion for digital applications. This position requires a candidate that has an expert knowledge of executing marketing automation campaigns, preferably with experience in Marketo. The right candidate must be enthusiastic, pro-active, detail-oriented, and a hardworking professional able to work well in a team-oriented, client-focused environment. This role also requires a strong foundation in email and SMS communications best practices as he/she will be tasked with overseeing the implementation, improvement and continual enhancement of marketing automation communications connected to our digital marketing efforts.

Responsibilities of the Marketing Automation Manager

  • Collaboration: train and upskill the marketing team, develop governance and use best practice methods and to ensure successful delivery of email marketing campaigns.
  • Stakeholder Management: collaborate with a variety of stakeholders from across the business to identify opportunities for marketing technology to reduce costs, increase sales and improve efficiencies.
  • Strategy: set the short and long-term vision for every stage of the customer lifecycle, developing a strategy and roadmap to deliver the vision.
  • MarTech: manage and deliver the marketing technology stack to help support our marketing and customer acquisition teams, including day to day operations and troubleshooting.
  • Data: be the protector of marketing data, it's accurate and adheres to company privacy and data management policies.
  • Journey Optimization: work with data teams to analyze the effectiveness of customer acquisition and retention campaigns and the impact they have on end-to-end customer experience.

Marketing Automation Manager Requirements
  • Experience in marketing automation or a wider digital marketing role
  • Experience in setting up automated campaigns in Marketo or similar marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience implementing web tracking technologies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Snowflake etc).
  • Expertise translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Ability to pivot quickly and make fast decisions based on changing needs in a high growth environment.
  • Strategic mindset that can see beyond the day-to-day to help the business achieve long-term customer acquisition and retention goals.
  • Comfortable with working to tight deadlines and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple projects.
  • Basic knowledge of GDPR, PECR, HIPPA and other relevant privacy regulations
