Our Manager Information Technology (EDI) manages the development teams responsible for planning, developing, and deploying internal enterprise systems, with responsibility over delivery, integration, and operational support. Develops and facilitates organizational models and structure changes needed to meet the evolving platforms.

Education: Must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field of study or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)
  • International Degree equivalency
  • Applicable certification(s) as defined by the leader + 2 years additional experience
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field of study + 2 years additional experience

Experience: 5-7/+ years' IT development delivery experience, with preference for full life-cycle solution of corporate delivery projects. Previous experience leading cross-functional teams that build solutions requiring deployment of code across environments. Also useful to the role:
  • High volume application development and information delivery in a large corporate environment.
  • Diverse experience in utilizing a variety of tools and technologies to build and manage business solutions in both on premise and cloud environments.
  • Relational databases and SQL
  • Practiced in Digital Delivery KPI's and analytics
  • Proven track record working with vendors/agencies and/or business customers to develop corporate administrative applications
  • Highly skilled in application and system performance monitoring and tuning

  • Market leading integration of third parties, partners, internal services and health systems
  • Collaborate with other developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
  • Maximize build quality and simplify source code maintenance and build processes through use of tools. Establish, maintain, and apply code/configuration standards and best practices to build in quality at the source
  • Efficiently and effectively apply our source delivery lifecycle (SDLC) to promote requirements understanding, minimize rework and build trust in solutions with customers and end users
  • Recommend and lead teams to apply fit-for-purpose architecture, governance, security, and global process standards to system changes and deployments
  • Support and lead the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog

Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of LEAN principles and methods
  • System integration experience
  • Insurance industry familiarity, to include EDI experience such as: x12, 834, 835, 837
  • SCRUM development experience
  • Working with onshore/offshore teams, and communicate using virtual communication tools

Your day may look like:
  • Responsible for planning, deployment, delivery and integration of internal systems, software, data, infrastructure, and/or technology as well as operational support, in alignment with standards and architectural requirements. Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures within assigned areas of responsibility. Leads technology area(s) that are critical to the department and ensures execution
  • Facilitates alignment with assigned areas to optimize system and/or technology efficiencies.
  • Communicates to key stakeholders overall impacts of technology platforms, systems, and data changes.
  • Manages and implements releases and/or upgrades for assigned systems, software, and/or other technologies.
  • Evaluates new technologies for assigned areas and impact to technology and business areas.
  • Develops, builds, and monitors key metrics and participation in strategic roadmap development.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
