Manager I, Data Analytics - Supply Chain (Sam's Club)

We're currently looking for a Manager I, Data Analytics - Supply Chain to grow our team!

You'll make an impact by...

  • Analyzing data to identify root causes and issues behind member returns; providing data-driven analytical insights and recommendations to mitigate returns; collaborating with internal and external business partners to deep dive into returns resulting from various operational issues using data-driven insights; reporting data-based insights in a uniform manner; and serving as the analytics subject matter expert providing advice and guidance on the application of best practices
  • Analyzing and ensuring accuracy of information by creating, maintaining, and evaluating returns data across various sources; performing data cleansing across various data sources; troubleshooting data discrepancy to maintain high reporting integrity; analyzing financial data, key performance indicators, and metrics; evaluating trends and reviewing results for accuracy; and conducting analyses for special and recurring projects
  • Clearly communicating data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders and executives based on research gathered around trends affecting returns using various communication tools; providing guidance and advising on next steps based on insights, objectives, and research; proposing improvements; and promoting the application of insights to support departmental and leadership decisions and goals
  • Building and maintaining dashboards to track trends in returns and health of the business; preparing information and supporting documentation; supporting key business processes; serving as an information resource; and providing guidance and recommendations based on defined policies and practices.
  • Maximizing claims recovery by troubleshooting issues related to discrepancies of disjointed data; using data to partner closely with key stakeholders at returns center operations to resolve issues arising during receiving process; obtaining information, answering questions and providing relevant data to speed up member refund process
  • Managing processes across different areas of the business to ensure efficiency and compliance by establishing timelines, workflows, and requirements; supporting and developing training; creating, verifying, and distributing necessary documentation for reviewing results; managing and verifying functionality of key process and controls; and loading appropriate information
  • Managing data and analytical aspects of returns by utilizing analytical tools; extracting and consolidating relevant data for reporting; determining layout and formatting; analyzing best delivery methods; identifying root cause and solutions in all supported systems


You'll sweep us off our feet if...
  • You have a proficiency in SQL with 3+ years of experience with statistical programming languages
  • You leverage dashboards with knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Looker or Google Analytics being a plus
  • You can effectively synthesize, visualize and communicate ideas to a wide range of cross-functional partners and executives
  • You leverage data for storytelling
  • You're a strong communicator and excellent team player
  • You have experience with Python
  • You have preferable supply chain experience
  • You have a master's degree in business, analytics or related field
