Position Overview

The Toys, Media Entertainment and Juvenile Products team at NPD works with some of the most exciting companies in the industry. This team is currently seeking an Account Manager who will be responsible for managing and growing the relationship between NPD and its key Toys, Media and Juvenile Products clients. In this role, you will build strong client relationships and provide actionable, value-added insights.

This position will be based in Port Washington, NY (or surrounding areas).

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Ensure overall client satisfaction by proactively relating NPD data and industry trends to business opportunities.
  • Strengthen the partnership by delivering value-added analysis within the practice area.
  • Expand the cross-functional relationships to include a broader mix of end users.
  • Operate in a collaborative team environment providing support and cross-functional training as needed.
  • Increase client engagement through delivery of consumer, business, and market insights, leveraging the full suite of NPD data sets and analytical capabilities
  • Learn about client's business goals and objectives to recommend and propose research solutions that provide actionable, relevant insight
  • Build relationships with client contacts to develop strategic business insights regarding their most important business issues/needs, both short and long-term.
  • Provide day-to-day tactical support utilizing market research data, data portal training, answering FAQs, preparing data insights and presentations, email and meeting follow up
  • Develop and execute comprehensive client account plans; understand the client's organization; understand their internal objectives and business issues; develop knowledge of the entertainment industry they compete in, and provide day-to-day tactical support.
  • Collaborate with team members regularly and communicate effectively and frequently


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience within data analysis, client services and account management.
  • Strong research and analytical skills and writing ability - able to distill diverse data sets into cohesive and succinct stories, proposals, presentations, and emails.
  • Ability to synthesize data and develop meaningful conclusions/insights using several data resources
  • Expert in all MS Office products, Excel, PowerPoint, & Word.
  • Experienced proficiency in data access tools
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Toys and/or licensing industry knowledge experience desired, Juvenile Prodcuts and/or Entertainment Media (Film, TV, and Streaming) experienced a plus
  • Ability to travel (typically
