Job Description Summary:
Our Change Communications Center of Excellence (CoE) team develops effective communications strategies to guide employees and leaders through current change and toward the company's future vision, as well as to address external stakeholders' needs in relation to a change initiative. As a Change Communications Manager, you will be responsible for executing change communications globally, and designing or improving upon the methods, practices, and tools the team uses to ensure we operate well above the status quo.

In order to deliver on our mission to democratize financial services and maintain our strategic health as a company, we need to constantly evolve to meet the changing needs of our customers and employees - and to lead within our sector and our ecosystem. We're in the business of change, and our Change Communications Center of Excellence (CoE) team develops effective communications strategies to guide employees and leaders through current change and toward the company's future vision, as well as to address external stakeholders' needs in relation to a change initiative. We are an in-house consulting team that supports partners with consistent and clear communication approaches and expert implementation - proactively employing effective communication techniques to help PayPal evolve.As a Change Communications Manager, you will be responsible for executing change communications globally, and designing or improving upon the methods, practices, and tools the team uses to ensure we operate well above the status quo.

What you will do:
  • Develop project-specific change communications plans, and execute on those plans - preparing written and verbal communications, and coordinating with and directing partners and vendors on other assets, such as video or event production
  • Support the development of change communications best practices, methodology, and templates
  • Serve as liaison to adjacent communications partners, such as employee engagement, global content and channels, and media relations
  • Coordinate communication efforts with internal stakeholders such as HR and change-management teams
  • Provide counsel and insights on employee change impacts, based on research and input you gather
  • Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Design and develop change communications best practices, methodologies, playbooks, and templates
  • Help expand and improve communication measurement techniques
  • Expand and improve feedback loops and employee-sentiment monitoring approaches

Qualities of the right candidate for this role:
  • Three to five years of experience leading or closely involved with change communication initiatives; global, large-scale change efforts preferred
  • Passionate about the power of communications to affect lasting change while also enriching the organization's culture
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships; have a diplomatic style with keen interpersonal skills
  • Talented writer, who truly enjoys writing
  • A creative, audience-centric view on how change can be communicated effectively
  • Able to work closely with senior leaders
  • Flexible and nimble; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Acute understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Loves keeping projects organized and on track
  • •Enjoys a team environment where collaboration is the norm
