Position Overview:

Within Motiva's Business Development group, the Strategy & Market Analysis Manager will contribute significantly to all aspects of Motiva's strategy development and play a crucial part in ensuring clear communication and alignment of Motiva's Company strategy with the overarching goals of our Shareholder. This role leads Motiva's strategy formulation and will encompass shaping our market outlook, manage the company investment plans, establish economic and transaction standards, and foster collaborative efforts with Motiva's Portfolio Business Development and Transaction Execution teams to optimize strategy execution. This position will report to Motiva's Senior Manager of Strategy & Market Analysis as a member of the Strategy & Market Analysis team.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of insightful, impactful business strategy with a focus on industrial logic, decision analysis, value creation, risk assessment, and capital allocation.
  • Drive results-oriented collaboration across a diverse stakeholder base to formulate business line strategies that are tailored to meet specific purposes and objectives.
  • Deliver compelling presentations showcasing recommended strategic decisions, investment plans, and market outlooks to Motiva's Executive Leadership team, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Foster strategic coordination, collaboration, and alignment with Saudi Aramco Strategy & Market Analysis and other pertinent stakeholders.
  • Development of the company's market outlook in collaboration with our Shareholder.
  • Management of the company's investment plans, risks, and exposures.
  • Continuously integrate Motiva Strategy and standards into Motiva's Business Plan, Investment Proposals, and Economic Analyses, ensuring seamless alignment with organizational objectives.

Experience and Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of professional experience, with recent experience in business development, strategy, and/or transactions.
  • Proficient in financial analysis, showcasing expertise in economic modeling and value chain analysis and understanding and optimizing key components within the business process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering impactful presentations at various levels of the organization, including senior leaders, executives and shareholders.
  • Extensive experience in Industry Segmentation, demonstrating a keen understanding of diverse market dynamics.
  • Skillful in Performance Benchmarking to gauge and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong background in decision analysis, price forecasting and risk assessment demonstrating the ability to utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions while identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure a sound decision-making process.
  • Possess a creative, enthusiastic outlook paired with unending curiosity, displaying a continuous drive for learning and staying informed about industry trends.
  • Projects an impactful professional presence, instilling confidence and credibility in interactions.
  • Possesses keen commercial acumen with outstanding attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of their work.
  • Demonstrates patience and discernment when working collaboratively to solve complex problems, fostering a fun and effective team environment.
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and complexity while working in a dynamic, often time-constrained work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or higher education.
  • Oil & Gas, Refining, Manufacturing industry experience.

Physical Requirements:
  • The role requires occasional (~20%) international and domestic travel.
  • The role is in-office. Remote working is encouraged for meetings that occur outside of customary business hours.
