Responsibilities:

  • Manages staff and is responsible for items listed below for several lines of business.
  • Responsible for the preparation of actuarial financial reporting - including internal GAAP, DOI statutory, State Medicaid requirements.
  • Provides analyses in support of benefit and provider reimbursement changes, cost containment programs, and revenue rate changes/adjustments from State Medicaid offices.
  • Provides information in order to assist in the rate negotiation process to determine rate requirements and support rate requests and strategies.
  • Responsible for producing reporting and analyses identifying trends and profitability drivers for lines of business.
  • Manages all other actuarial processes and analyses in support of assigned lines of business.
  • Responsible for management and execution of all actuarial functions in support of assigned lines of business, and assures that all work is done based on sound actuarial principles.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree actuarial science, statistics, or mathematics or other business field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10 years progressively responsible actuarial experience in managed healthcare with 3-5 years management experience at a senior level.
  • Must be credentialed actuary and member of Academy of Actuaries with FSA.

Once the company returns to an office setting, this position will be located in our Newtown Square location. There is no relocation assistance provided.
