What You Need for this Position The Job You Will Perform:

- Provides experience on failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
- Provides technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
- During repairs ensure that repair details such as wiring, components, materials of construction, correct technology, etc are provided and documented. Provide technical support as needed.
- Ensures repair techniques, repair procedures, and equipment specific training are documented and made available.
- Provide technical support for specification, identification and purchasing of needed parts.
- Provides maintainability input to improvement activities.
- Engages external service providers and serves as site focal point for all power distribution troubleshooting, repairs, and expansion needs.
- Site subject matter expert on variable frequency drive (VFD) maintenance, programming, spare strategy, and troubleshooting.
- As appropriate and required, reviews spare parts list for existing equipment and works with MRO to ensure parts are identified, added and stocked in the MRO system in support of the maintenance strategy.
- Develops maintenance procedures based on Most Effective Technology (MET).
- Engages capital project teams to support identifying MET. Serves as owner of site electrical one line diagrams and ensures master copies are kept updated.
- Participates with Reliability Engineer in developing the equipment maintenance strategy by providing technical and historical information.
- Serves as a technical resource to the planner on work packages.
- Evaluates Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) activities and determines appropriate action.
- Serves as the site electrical focal point and serves as the site electrical safety lead. Leader of electrical hazard audits for the site.
- Ensures that electrical contract services are following code book. Provides input to Contract Maintenance Coordinator on efficient use of contract electrical resources.
- Supports Maintenance Procedure Use:
- Performs technical reviews of procedures
- Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review.
- Creates/develops/changes/updates job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure MOCs.
- Actively participate in and accept all Safety, Health and Environmental responsibilities.
- Work with peers in a team-oriented environment
- Actively participate in a safe and respectful work environment
- Continuously learn and enhance job skills as well as teaching others to enhance their skills
- Maintains an electrical master license.
- Develops maintenance operating discipline.
- During development of turnaround work provides input on development of work scope particularly on critical equipment.


Requirements:

- High School Diploma/GED.
- 5+ years of experience in an Electrical or Instrument Journeyman role OR completion of an Apprenticeship Program or Associates of Applied Science Technology degree in electrical or instrumentation.
- Master Electrician License required.
- State Licensed for Electrician.
- License awarded on experience and examination.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Prefer SAP CMMS experience.
- The ability to follow safe work practices.
- Willing and able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including the use of arc flash protection as required.
