Basic Function:

The Maintenance Planner helps to direct the Maintenance production team's activities in the area of preventive and repair maintenance of the production equipment. Strives to ensure safety, quality and production efficiencies to meet and support the manufacturing facility's overall goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees, plans and issues work orders for the implementation of equipment modifications as well as preventive and corrective maintenance, as needed.
  • Coordinates the repair and maintenance activities with the production and scheduling departments as necessary.
  • Provides "hands-on" trouble shooting and upkeep of production equipment.
  • Ensures plant has a robust corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance program.
  • Reviews location's Key Performance Indicators KPIs (Daily, Weekly and Monthly) to make recommendations for improving equipment and maintenance problem resolution.
  • Tracks, analyzes and improves department's KPIs in the areas of efficiency, downtime reduction, overall maintenance cost and preventive maintenance compliance.
  • May interface with vendors and suppliers as necessary to discuss products used in repair work and/or projects that need to be completed.
  • Leads safety through personal example and by actively engaging with team members in the location.

Job Requirements
Job Qualifications
  • Associates Degree and/or Technical degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
    • Minimum of two-five years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment or similar role required.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office
    • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence, engage and motivate team members.
    • Must be able to articulate business priorities, expectations, provide clear direction, delegate responsibility, and objectively manage in all situations including plant emergency situations.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize as needed
    • Proven organization capability to prepare, communicate, and monitor the implementation of plans in detail and interact well with others.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
