Essential Functions • Performs scheduled lubrication and PM for all plant equipment.• Performs repairs on all plant equipment.
• Fabricates chutes, hoppers, piping, equipment supports and other machining.
• Assists production group as required by management.
• Performs equipment clean-up as directed.
• Performs mill rebuilds in a timely manner to reduce mill downtime.
• Maintains required maintenance records.
• Informs management of all problems with equipment that might have an effect on the production process or quality of the products.
• Performs housekeeping in the tool storage area, work area after overhaul of equipment or any fabrication projects, lube or oil storage area, diesel tank area, air compressor area, front drive area and break-room clean up as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or educational equivalent. Entry level. Certifications preferred but not required: A/C certification, Electrical Maintenance, Stationary Engineer. Position Summary Under direct supervision, maintains and repairs production equipment including, but not limited to: lathes, mills, cranes, a/c units, welding and heat treating equipment and any other mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic machine as required. Maintains and repairs facility equipment. Maintains department records as required. Works on projects related to increased production. Handles special projects, as assigned.
