We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager for our fluid milk and cream plant in Cedarburg, WI. In this 1st shift role, you will collaborate with the plant engineer in utilizing equipment to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness utilizing Continuous Improvement techniques and a Management Operating Structure (MOS). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds.
  • Manage employees directly or through supervisors to ensure effective selection, retention, development, disciplinary action, and performance management. (If a collective bargaining agreement exists, may participate in negotiations, grievances or other contract related activities and discussions).
  • HVAC, Electrical (motor control circuitry up to 480V 3-phrase), Boilers, etc. experience
  • Administer the maintenance and capital projects for the site.
  • Utilize the CMMS to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Implement corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators to create overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Stay informed with the latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
  • Ensure corporate policies and standards are followed in both capital project implementation as well as daily maintenance.
  • Adhere to Company policies, OSHA regulations and applicable laws.
Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree or some college is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance supervision in a food manufacturing environment is required.
  • Working knowledge/exposure to food manufacturing equipment i.e., filling machines, blow mold machines, air compressors, conveyors
  • PLC experience (Allen Bradley platform) is strongly desired, programming a plus
  • Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems desired
  • Working knowledge of fabrication, welding and machining methods a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience with maintenance technicians required.
  • Experience with CMMS required; MVP JDE experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Union, Safety and Workers Compensation experience preferred.
  • Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality policies and procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
  • Ability to follow Continuous Improvement (CI) Processes in the Management Operating Structure (MOS).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and other computer-based applications.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; with the ability to lead others through change
