RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Mainframe Programmer in Saint Louis, MO.Overview:This contractor will be supporting the SATF mainframe application as part of the Union acquisition efforts. SATF is a mainframe system that interacts heavily with Hogan and is responsible for translating acquired accounts to company accounts.We are looking for people who want more than just a job - they want to make a difference! The client is seeking a contract Mainframe Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our acquisition initiatives.This fully remote contract position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The Mainframe Programmer is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to company standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent work experience
• At least seven years of work experience in Mainframe Application Development/IT Systems Testing, and team leadership

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Expert-level Coding Skills (DB2, COBOL, JCL, CA7), including Version Control Systems
• Nice to have tools: Jenkins, Endevor, IDZ, Jira
• Functional Testing experience, including ability to create, maintain and execute manual tests
• Extensive knowledge in application design and architecture
• Expert programming knowledge skills
• Expert knowledge in IT/Software quality assurance
• Expert knowledge with system/application testing tools and implementation
• Strong understanding of Information Management
• Experience in: Unit Testing (including automation and integration with CI systems) and Agile Software Development (Scrum)
