The Loan Regulations Specialist I is responsible for ensuring compliance with bank’s policies and government regulations for new and renewed loans as well as ensure compliance with bank’s policies and government regulations for all outstanding loans under the flood program and other loan regulations

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • AEnsure that all new and renewed loans are in compliance with any applicable loan regulations such as: Flood program, Reg. O, Reg. W, RESPA, Reg. Z (under the scope of responsibility described in the Departmental procedures).
  • Ensure that required flood insurance documentation to outside vendor is provided accurately and timely for proper flood tracking service.
  • Ensure that we are in compliance at all times with flood regulations for all mortgage secured loan portfolio.
  • Process the force placement cycles.
  • Assist in all audits (internal and external) related to Flood regulation
  • Stay abreast of changes to federal regulations that might directly affect the flood regulations.
  • Ensure that the Bank is in compliance with Reg. “O” (on-going)
  • Ensure that the Bank is in compliance with escrow requirements that impact the flood program.
  • Ensure that the Bank is in compliance with all applicable loan regulations that impact the Loan Operations Department staying abreast of changes and participating in projects in order to implement changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend to immediate supervisor, policies and procedures changes needed to maintain a streamlined and secured process.
Minimum Education and/or Certifications Requirements:
High school or GED required.

Vocational training in Flood regulation required, or comparable experience in lieu of education.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
3+ years of experience in banking and real estate loan regulations, with a strong knowledge in all aspects of the Flood federal regulations. Strong knowledge in insurance policies and NFIP guidelines required. Loan accounting experience preferred

Technical and/or Other Essential Knowledge:
Fiserv AS/400

Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365 products including MS Word, MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Teams, and MS PowerPoint
