Salary: $130,000-$160,000 Per Year

Overview

Service Experts LLC seeks a Commercial Legal Counsel reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer to provide an expansive range of commercial legal advice and services, including but not limited to: contract review and negotiation, real estate transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. This role will partner with and support a variety of business units, key stakeholders and business leaders and requires a collaborative, business-first mindset and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including but not limited to: vendor contracts, master service agreements, purchase agreements, residential customer contracts, commercial real estate leases, non-disclosure agreements, partnership agreements, asset purchase agreements, and membership interest purchase agreements.
  • Perform risk analysis related to commercial terms and conditions, identifying and evaluating contractual risks and proposing creative mitigation of the same.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert within the Legal Department for all commercial related matters.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder's expectations and prioritize competing projects under occasionally tight deadlines.
  • Possess strong business acumen and eagerness to support evolving business objectives.
  • Provide training to internal business partners on a variety of commercial legal topics.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor, with active state bar membership
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience working at a law firm or serving as an in-house counsel.
  • Experience in the consumer services industry is desirable.

  • Exceptional negotiation, drafting and analytical skills applied to complex legal documents.
  • Focus in areas of commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and general corporate matters.
  • Demonstrated strategic and proactive mindset enabling provision of sound legal guidance to support business objectives.
  • Demonstrates both autonomy and team collaboration, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including ability to effectively collaborate with internal clients, executive leaders, and commercial vendors
  • Possess sound judgment, attention to detail, and strong work ethic with inquisitiveness and a desire to integrate as a valuable business asset.
  • Ability to work and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, creative, and adaptive to change.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in consumer law, including: marketing, privacy, and consumer protection laws.
