Lead Software Engineer - Puppet - Ansible - Linux - Python If you are a Lead Software Engineer with Puppet, Ansible and Linux experience, please read on!

This position is remote, but we prefer you live near St. Louis, MO or Chicago, IL.

We provide best-of-breed technology and managed services for the normalization and distribution of real-time market data to a diverse set of firms in the financial services industry.
What You Will Be Doing - Our division designs, programs, and maintains user interfaces, APIs, and automated processes related to product deployment, configuration management, service health monitoring, and service management.
- You will develop interfaces and automated processes to support these functions. MSE key technologies include Puppet, ServiceNow, Jira, Linux, JavaScript, Angular, Python, Git, and Docker.
- Provide technical leadership for the team guiding processes and best practices
- Develop software components, review code, tune system performance, and troubleshoot issues raised by customers and support teams
- Interface with hardware and firmware engineers to design automated monitoring and management solutions that improve reliability
What You Need for this Position - BS or higher in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years software development experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Expertise using and creating APIs
- Experience with Puppet and Ansible
- Programming skills in Python, Java, Ruby, or C/C++
- Knowledge of Linux system administration and networking
- Strong skills with object-oriented design, microservices, and data structures
- Experience with Linux and scripting languages (e.g. shell, Perl, PHP)
- Experience with source-code control (e.g. Gitlab, GitHub, CVS)
- Familiarly with continuous integration and test automation
