SUMMARY

Bering Global Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Lead Help Desk IT Specialist for a contract in Washington D.C. The ideal candidate will be the backup Program Manager and will be the senior on-site technical specialist.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicates effectively with government personnel and assist with maintaining an appropriate contractor management interface with government leadership, the COR, contracting, and customers.
  • Assist with ensuring staffing levels and management oversight is appropriate to meet the SLAs and OLAs and the Performance Requirements.
  • Assists with program planning by identifying problems, providing sufficient information on alternative solutions and impacts and minimizing the impact to the program to the government's satisfaction.
  • Participates with improving processes through training, self-learning; ensure deliverables are timely and accurate; minimize the need for government intervention to avoid degradation of mission during critical times and ensure notification to the appropriate government representative of significant or potentially significant problems.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)
  • Enter qualifications required to perform the job. Must include education and level of experience.
  • HDI Desktop Advanced Support Technician certificate or equivalent
  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in various areas of a help desk
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Lead IT Specialist

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists with hires and supervises direct reports.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
