Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Program Manager, Launch Equipment (LE) Integration and Operations. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This will include development, production and deployment of LE hardware and systems, integration and test into engineering prototype, test launch and operational weapon system facilities. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers.

What you will get to do, specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinates with daily and supports LE functional managers and staff for Mechanical Systems, Actuation Systems, Endurance Systems, Distribution Systems, Systems Engineering, Integration and Test.
  • Coordinates daily with other Command and Launch Team (CLT) sub-IPTs, and other GBSD Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD) IPTs.
  • Provides System Engineering management responsibilities for projects engaged in research and/or product development
  • Performs/oversees technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, operational, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs/oversees functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer and derived requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Develops and reviews LE proposal work statements and specifications; coordinates contractual terms/conditions with internal Global Supply Chain (GSC) team.
  • Participates in the development, bid and award, and negotiation of supplier contracts and contract changes.
  • Obtains Cost Account Manager (CAM) training and certification in the GBSD earned value management system (EVMS).
  • Owns responsibility of cost, schedule and technical performance of Control Account (CA) scope and direct reports.
  • Interacts with AF customer on LE activities, EVM status, action items, and risks, leading program review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors and 5 years experience
  • Experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • Experience with performing and overseeing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
  • Experience on large AF development programs
  • Experience with formal earned value management system reporting
  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical degree & 5 years of leadership and/or management systems engineering experience
  • Systems engineering proficiency using DOORS and Cameo
  • Agile project management proficiency in Jira and Confluence
  • Active TOP SECRET security clearance is preferred
  • Demonstrated supplier management experience
  • 2+ years weapon systems experience in the areas of design, analysis, operations and maintenance, command and control, and ground systems/facilities
