 Ardurra is seeking a Landscape Inspector to join our staff in Los Angeles, CA.

Primary Duties

  • Knowledge of, and ability to interpret, technical specifications, contract requirements, engineering drawings, and standard construction details are critical requirements of the position
  • Responsibilities will include observing that the work is completed in general accordance with the drawings and specifications, daily field reporting, tracking contractor's installed quantities, witnessing tests, documenting test results and serving as liaison between engineer, contractor, and adjacent residents and businesses
  • Ensures that landscape improvements are properly installed and maintained; plans new landscape installation specification to amend or change City Guidelines and requirements
  • Typical projects involve the inspection of contracted landscape workers to ensure compliance with all plans, schedules and city maintenance specifications; reviews plant materials, irrigations systems, erosion control, fire abatement, drainage and plant pest control problems
  • Prepares various landscape related reports including reports related to pesticide application and water use, tree trimming, and weekly maintenance
  • Checks and visually inspects trees in designated area for any apparent safety concerns; reports findings to supervisor
  • Qualified candidates may work on one or more projects simultaneously
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Civil Engineering related coursework/certifications, Associates Degree preferred
  • 3-15 years in Landscape Design and/or installation, Construction field or Construction Management/Field Services
  • Background in landscape construction/inspections, including mechanical and piping construction required. Previous experience in municipal utility inspections a plus
  • Certified Arborist, QSP, and TRAQ Certification preferred
