Job Description

GPI is seeking a Landscape Architect Project Manager in the Morris Plains, NJ office. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide management on a wide variety of public and private landscape architectural projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of small to large complex projects and key clients independently
  • Successfully manages scope, schedule, and budget for projects
  • Develop and review contracts on various size projects
  • Management of project teams through successful design, production, and construction phases
  • Conduct meetings with architectural and A/E teams, clients, and public forums
  • Prepare materials for planning approvals/permits as appropriate and interacts positively with governmental building, planning, and legal departments
  • Present at client and regulatory review meetings
  • Manage design team construction administration
  • Regional travel to project sites and client meetings
  • Write and present reports, proposals, and municipal review applications
  • Active participation in marketing and business development effort of the firm
Qualifications:
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Landscape Architecture
  • 10+ years relevant experience in a design-based firm
  • Proven experience in leading exceptional designs from conceptual design through construction documentation, and construction observation
  • Demonstrated ability in project management and business development
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation experience is a plus

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
  • Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
