Ardurra is seeking a Land Development Civil Project Engineer to join our Residential site design Group in Tampa, FL.

Primary Function

In this role, you will have the ability to work on a variety of commercial projects alongside Ardurra's full service / multidiscipline Land Development Practice. As project engineer you will have entry level management responsibilities for your assigned projects and collaborate directly with the department's Residential Group Lead.

Primary Duties

  • Work directly with the department's Group Lead to assist with Client management, monitor/manage budgets and schedules
  • Provide design team management throughout the design and permitting phase providing guidance to the team on all technical aspects of the project
  • Assist in organizing project team workload and collaborate as needed with Ardurra support services including planning, ecological and survey groups to meet project schedules
  • Coordinate with project design team members, and permit agency representatives regularly
  • Assist and collaborate with Ardurra construction administration staff during the construction phase of the project

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in, Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • 7-10+ years of related experience in the site design and permitting
  • State of Florida PE license or ability to promptly obtain via reciprocity
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
  • Familiarization with local land development code (LDC) preferred or experience with LDC review and application to be able to quickly acclimate to local design and permitting requirements
  • Familiarization with stormwater modeling (ICPR or similar) preferred
  • Familiarization with AutoCad Civil 3D
  • Highly self-motivated self starter,
  • Work independently but collaborate as needed with the department's Residential Group Lead
