CBIZ is seeking a leader with strong collaboration and project management skills and a deep technical acumen. An action-oriented, delivery-focused mindset with the ability develop demands into effective solutions are critical to the role. The I.T. Leader will build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders in our Retirement Plan Services division while staying connected to business needs and industry trends to identify, architect and implement technical solutions. The position combines managerial responsibilities with in-depth hands-on technical expertise.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
  • Serve as technical point of contact for operational leaders of our Retirement Plan Services Division.
  • Consult with business and operational leaders to help document the business case for systems initiatives, and facilitate project intake and approval processes.
  • Analyze business requirements, costs and benefits, project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives through formal business cases and project charters.
  • Implements technical solutions ranging from third-party application implementations, custom software development, system integrations, process automation, and analytics.
  • Work in a hands-on manner with internal stakeholders to align technology solutions with business needs and strategies.
  • Facilitate product selection processes.
  • Architects technical solutions, business processes and analytical outputs using available tools.
  • Establishes Application Support, Management and Governance protocols for business applications.
  • Ensures adherence to policies and procedures that are compliant with IT, industry, and regulatory policies.
  • Manages application upgrades, enhancements and support initiatives.
  • Manages a project portfolio and project roadmap.
  • Assists in the management of software vendor relationships.
  • Manages and mentors individual staff members.
  • Up to 20% travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in management information systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
  • 8 years of broad IT and operational experience.
  • 3 years practical working with enterprise level SaaS and third-party applications.
  • 3-5 years of practical experience defining requirements, managing projects and implementing systems.
  • Experience implementing and managing custom-developed and third-party applications.
  • Experience working in the Retirement Plan Services Industry with hands on industry-specific application experience.
  • Strong application architecture and process discipline with experience in defining business requirements and translating them into well-constructed and integrated technical solutions.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise integration solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills, analytical abilities, problem solving, and follow through.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
Preferred Technology:
  • Application, Analytics, and System Integration development.
  • Formal project management experience.
  • Salesforce.com
  • Development languages (C#.NET, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, JQuery, Javascript, PowerBuilder, PHP)
  • Database technologies (SQL Server, SAP SQL Anywhere)
  • Power BI
Qualifications Required:
  • College Degree or equivalent
  • 10 years related experience
  • Must have experience managing staff, projects and/or processes
  • Possesses subject matter expertise
  • Knowledge of industry regulations
  • Ability to manage a team of others
  • Ability to formulate new policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to travel as required by business and on-call availability
