IT Business Relationship Manager

The Novelis North America (NNA) team is seeking an IT Business Relationship Manager. The person in this role will report to the Head of the NNA IT Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for being the main point of contact between IT, HR, finance, marketing, and other groups that rely heavily on technology for daily business. BRMs can work at a high-level, leading all aspects of the relationship between IT and multiple departments, or they might work in one specific business unit as a partner between IT and another department.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead as the strategic interface between the BRM's function and business partner to stimulate, surface, and shape business demand and ensure that the potential business value from those assets and capabilities is gathered, realized, optimized, and recognized.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of the business partner's business unit and build positive relationship development, both horizontally and vertically.
  • Ensure business value realization and optimization, from value plans through consultancy, case development, financial awareness, leading expectations, and finding opportunities to add new value.
  • Ensure project and initiative progress, including consistent and effective communication. This includes handling critical issues and avoiding risk.
  • Build and lead a project road map, mapping business requirements, implementation timeline, financial impact, etc.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture to develop and maintain multi-year business capability roadmaps.
  • Partner with business transformation teams to ensure effective business transformation for all initiatives.
  • Partner with the project/program/portfolio management organization (PMO) to ensure a balanced and well-managed initiative portfolio.
  • Build and maintain the relationship team to ensure convergence and strategic working with the business, including working closely with CxO leadership as executive sponsors for each business partner.
  • Think strategically by identifying business function opportunities and the best-suited position for the function's adoption. Measure adoption, and work with business leadership to develop future roadmap and opportunities.
  • Focus on business value rather than solutions to develop ideas, including digital awareness, risk assessments, business continuity, and business capability requirements.
  • Be creative and innovative using knowledge and awareness of industry trends and digital advances as they relate to new opportunities and business needs.
  • At a business unit-level, be responsible for the BRM's functional operating and project/program budget, and perform accurate budgeting and forecasting across operations and projects or programs.
Qualifications
  • MBA or related qualification
  • Graduate degree or dynamic educational certificate
  • Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP®) preferred
  • Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM®) preferred
  • Master of Business Relationship Management (MBRM®) preferred
  • 10+ years of functional experience in the business function
  • 10+ years of experience in metal Recycling and manufacturing process.
  • Proven ability in facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives
  • Ability to listen, establish rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within the business unit, as well as with leadership and functional teams
  • Ability to map joint organizational vision and long-term thinking, originality, and idea generation
  • Highly skilled and experienced at problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes at executive levels
  • Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and team methods, including leading by example, mentoring, and encouraging others
  • Ability to set expectations with business partners and effectively maximize governance for a positive business partner experience

Location Profile

Novelis' Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people. It is co-located with Novelis' North America regional office which employs approximately 225 people.
