SUMMARY
This critical international sales and marketing role is responsible for the commercial activities of Toyota related products and services in Toyota's Caribbean markets. Automotive manufacturing customer support experience is preferred. Strong communication and negotiation skills are a must. Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and report writing is crucial. Bilingual English/Spanish language skills would be beneficial in this role but are not required. Up to 30% domestic/international travel is expected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Relationship management with distributors and manufacturers
  • Establishment and achievement of yearly unit sales and share targets for TOYOTA products in assigned markets.
  • Establishment and achievement of financial targets in assigned markets
  • Establishment, implementation, and monitoring of action plans for unit sales, share and financial targets covering product, pricing, ADSP, supply and demand as well as front-line retail sales and branding activities through accurate forecasting, budgeting, monitoring and variance analysis (with countermeasure proposals) for assigned markets.
  • Identification of current and future local product requirements through market and customer analysis
  • Creation/maintenance of market-oriented product content specifications and active model life-cycle management
  • Development and negotiation of required price positioning strategy and proposals in line with sales, share, financial targets, and manufacturer requirements through market analysis
  • Negotiation/coordination with manufacturer to realize request from assigned market
  • Development of special pricing related to fleet, corporate sales, and special quotations
  • Support with the development, implementation and monitoring of local marketing plans, calendars, tools and associated budgets
  • Supply and demand control to achieve manufacturer agreed to orders, forecast levels and local sales while maintaining healthy local inventory (determined on a per model basis
  • Provide trainings to local sales teams (product trainings, sales skills trainings, etc.)
  • Workflow assignment for admin. support as it relates to assigned countries
  • Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) target setting and action plan implementation and monitoring
  • Review and confirmation of invoices and shipping documents prepared by admin. Team
  • Regional coordination for functional assignment (to be determined) including related responsibilities of admin. support staff
  • Routine field visits to the Caribbean/Argentina, up to 30% of time (travel to other domestic and international destinations may also be required)
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge to complete difficult assignments
  • Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or related degree required
  • 3+ years' experience in sales/marketing required
  • Management concurrence with a promotion to this job level required
  • Automotive manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Spanish and French language skills helpful, not required
