Position Summary:

Responsible for handling, monitoring, and coordinating shipments for door collection and/or delivery in accordance with established truck distribution percentages. Works collaboratively with internal and external organization to include customers, truck vendors, and CCA business teams to ensure Intermodal cargo is moved in an efficient and expedited manner. Follows standard operating procedures established by the Intermodal Department. Utilizes and maintains required work tools. Identifies and elevates problems or issues to management.

This position will be responsible to:

  • Creates and issues work orders for door collection and/or delivery.
  • Tracks and traces shipments to ensure door appointments are met and cargo is delivered.
  • Monitors and records trucker performance.
  • Communicates to customer(s) potential delays or issues preventing dispatch.
  • Ensures HAZMAT compliance for HAZ Door Moves.
  • Documents pertinent dispatch-related information to ensure maintenance of timely and accurate records.
  • Rebills Customer(s) for transport-related expenses.
  • Reconciles trucking invoice discrepancies.
  • Identifies matchback/one-way opportunities.
  • Identifies potential cost saving opportunities.
  • Ensures customer inquiries including FootPrints Issues are addressed in a professional manner within the agreed upon SLAs.
  • Works collaboratively with internal departments to expedite transport.
  • Handles significant volume of telephone and written communication.
  • Identifies and communicates to management any problems or potential problems.
  • Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.



    Skill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High School diploma required.
  • Must be proficient in basic Microsoft Office application (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Detail-Oriented person with strong organization and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

    Skill Sets / Education & Experience Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Intermodal general operating procedures preferred.
