Capital University's School of Management and Leadership invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full-time Instructor of Marketing position, effective August 2023. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching and possess subject matter expertise as a marketer, with emphasis in the digital space. This is a nine-month position teaching 32 credits per academic year at the undergraduate and graduate level and carries the title of Executive Professor. Summer opportunities may be available. Undergraduate courses include Digital Marketing, Marketing and Sales Technology, Marketing Management, and Promotional Marketing and Metrics. Graduate courses include marketing management and special topics.

The School of Management and Leadership has the largest enrollment on campus and offers baccalaureate degrees in Accounting, Business Management, Financial Economics and Marketing, as well as a number of business-related minors. In addition, the School has a longstanding part-time, evening MBA program.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in marketing or closely related business major (an earned MBA or doctorate is preferred);
  • Previous university teaching experience;
  • Wide breadth of subject matter knowledge in digital marketing, marketing and sales technology, promotional marketing, brand management, and marketing strategy;
  • Executive-level management/business experience with a demonstrated record of accomplishment; and
  • Appreciation for a project-based learning approach, and a professional network for live-client projects and guest speakers.
