RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce Inc. is seeking a full-time Instructional Designer to support our enterprise technology client based in Austin TX.Summary:The Instructional Designer (ID) will rely on a strong understanding of adult learning theory to design and build effective training programs in various digital and facilitator-led formats. They will create digital learning content development, including eLearning, videos, microlearning, etc. They will collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to facilitate needs assessments, design conversations, create content and programming, and oversee hand-off to the Training Specialist for facilitation. The Instructional Designer will seek creative ways to bring learning to the organization, and will use their knowledge of business needs, adult learning theory, learner user experience, and intended outcomes to design high-impact training.Duties:- Design and create exceptional training materials to support a variety of delivery types, including self-paced, mobile, video, podcast, webinar and facilitator-led
- Develop new learning experiences that engage and excite
- Write elegant, clear, concise, and persuasive communications copy that engages and inspires learners
- Scope, design, and develop learning products, including assets and assessments, to support a variety of delivery types, including self-paced, mobile, video, podcast, webinar, and leader-led, focusing on digital and blended content creation
- Establish and maintain standards and processes to produce content deliverables
- Create briefs and collaborate with business and L&D program stakeholders, ensuring content reflects the needs and requirements
- Simplify complex issues and develop clear scripts and storyboards for instructional videos and/or interactive courses
- Be an administrative-level user of the learning management system and digital adoption platform
- Maintain and manage content per established audit and organization standards
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
- 3-5+ years of instructional design, learning experience design, writing, editing, and/or content management experience
- Design portfolio and work samples that can be shared in advance of interviewing
- Ability to care for multiple projects and deliverables within tight design timelines
- Experience with learning management systems
- Experience with learning design tools (Articulate Storyline and Rise, Vyond, Visme, Camtasia, etc.)
- Experience with digital adoption platform content development
- Sales training development experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
