Indirect Lending Clerk


We are searching for an experienced Indirect Lending Clerk. 
Indianapolis, Indiana 46204

Essential Function 

Performs clerical support duties necessary to execute the retail sales contracts as received from the participating dealers.  Function includes: data entry of loans set up, disbursing of funds, validation of rates and sales commissions, preparation of correspondence. 

 

Primary Responsibilities & Duties 

    1. Responsible for professional telephone/ written contact with dealer personnel. 
      1. Accurately performs data entry /book contracts within a reasonable time frame to ensure all payments are received and posted without delay. 

      1. Reconcile all applicable information, including the note and title work, to data system information.

      2.  Follow up on missing or pending documentation

      3.  Assist in gathering information, preparation of loan applications and other documents.

      4.  Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Specific Skills 

    • Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions.
    •  PC skills; including data entry, word processing and basis software knowledge within a Windows environment.
    • Ability to work well with others. 
    • Good organizational skills. 
    • Ability to effectively present information and interact in a telephone environment. 
    • Ability to perform efficiently while working under deadlines and time constraints. 

 

Accountability 

    • Meeting stringent deadlines and production performance as outlined in the performance management goals. 
    • Accountable for understanding and applying TCU policies and procedures relating to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML, CIP and OFAC). 
    • Responsible for continually maintaining good working relationships with the dealer base by providing prompt, quality service.  
    • Accuracy of documentation and attention to detail in all reports and documentation produced.  
    • Product knowledge and clear communication of this information to members and coworkers. 
    • Accountable for understanding and applying government laws and regulations and TCU policies and procedures relating to the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), US PATRIOT ACT and OFAC.

Minimum Requirement 

    1. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent skills and abilities. 
    2. A broad knowledge of financial services and the on-line computer system generally acquired by two or more years working within the financial services area. 


Non-Exempt

Hourly Wage

$16.50 - $20.63
