LOCATION: Green Bay Campus - IT Department

STANDARD HOURS: 12 hours per week; Availability to Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

MINIMUM STARTING RATE OF PAY: $15.00/hour

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cybersecurity Intern to join our dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced cyber security professionals, contribute to real-world projects, and enhance your skills in various aspects of information security from governance, risk and compliance to network and endpoint security.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in investigating and remediating cyber alerts or incidents.

  • Assist with researching cyber threats.

  • Support vulnerability management and assessments tools.

  • Assist with patch management on end points and servers.

  • Work with the Security Operations Center to optimize security tools and monitoring.

  • Assist with performing phishing simulations and maintain security awareness program materials.

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident response plans.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Enrolled in the NWTC cybersecurity associate degree is required.

Experience: Prerequisite: Intro to Cybersecurity, Cisco Intro, PowerShell for Cybersecurity, Microsoft Server 1

Computer Skills: Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and information security principles.

Cultural Competence: Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and sensitivity to and understanding of a diverse community of college students, faculty, and staff.
