Job Description

Position Purpose:

Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) is a 10-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. They will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Overall, the SEED program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to make a positive impact in the industry.

Internship dates: June 17th, 2024- August 23rd, 2024

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

This position will have the opportunity to impact data analysis and dashboards that are accessible throughout all level of the business, allowing the opportunity to interact with various levels of leadership within the department.


The HR Data Analytics intern will partner with the HRIS leadership, to support systems implementations, data migration, reporting and analysis. Support the short- and long-term plans of the HRIS team related to operational systems, tools and processes across the organization which support the overall transition and systems implementation activities. Provides the opportunity to work with other departments and being a part of the team that provides a solution to area with significant business implications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Dashboard building experience (OAC, Tableau, Power BI, or like products)
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Experience with HR or Financial data
  • Basic knowledge of SQL

Work Environment:

Environments vary by Internship/Co-Op function from office to field to plant. Our aim is to provide tangible industry job experience to each intern. While we may extend offers to some interns/co-ops, there is no guarantee of a job offer at the end of the work period.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Working towards a degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or related degree preferred.
  • 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation and facilitation skills / Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

  • Certification/Licenses/Training not generally required for an internship.
