We're seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team for a three to four month temporary assignment! The Human Resources Assistant will provide temporary administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Department and to internal customers. You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining personnel files; conducting criminal background checks; receiving, processing, and distributing incoming mail and faxes; processing routine HR transactions and entering data to information systems; responding to requests for information; and will perform similar and related tasks.

Essential Duties

  • Provides excellent customer service via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Creates and maintains personnel files, including printing and scanning documents, filing, and reviewing forms for accuracy.
  • Conducts basic phone screening interviews with applicants, schedules in-person interviews, and follows-up on post-interview candidate summaries.
  • Assembles and sends out new employee packets and other mailings.
  • Performs basic data entry in employee database, ensuring accuracy.
  • Monitors and maintains inventory of departmental office supplies.

  • High School diploma and previous office experience.
  • General computer skills and knowledge of general office equipment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and ability to perform duties with accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to reach and squat for filing in upper and lower drawers.
