JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Representative I performs work of intermediate to moderate difficulty in a customer service Human Resources environment, providing outstanding benefits administration and performing related work as assigned. Promotes positive employee relations by applying consistent practices and by aiding company employees concerning HR programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Perform customer service functions by responding to employee requests and questions
  • Manage our new hire onboarding process
  • Ensure proper recordkeeping of hew hires, including completing E-Verify
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and understanding of benefits
  • Update HR systems, communicating changes as appropriate
  • Assist with Service Awards programs
  • Respond to telephone and written inquiries regarding employment verification
  • Assist with performance management administration
  • Maintain HR records, assuring regulatory compliance
  • Assist employees with Leave of Absences, including FMLA application
  • Post communications as directed in appropriate areas
  • Generate reports and complete audits as necessary in areas of responsibility
  • Assist in planning and coordinating company sponsored events
  • For sites that handle payroll functions: Ensure timely collection and data entry of T&A data, including:
    • Complete data entry of T&A's, review for completeness.
    • Review of adherence to company guidelines.
    • Troubleshoot errors.
    • Ensure weekly work records and monthly time sheets are submitted timely and accurately tracked.
    • Perform edits and audits as needed.
    • Run AWL/Clock Violation report daily and enter into the Majic system
    SECONDARY DUTIES:

    Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    MINIMUM:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must always project a positive and professional image for the Company
  • Must be able to deal with confidential information appropriately
  • Must be able to deal with sensitive employee relations issues professionally
  • Read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Occasional outside local and out of town travel is required, involving driving and/or flying (10%)

  • PREFERRED:
  • General knowledge of human resources functions, including EEO/AAP programs, employment and recruiting practices, benefit coordination, and related HR/Payroll functions.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds, climb stairs, bend, and stoop as necessary.
  • Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
  • Normal office environment where approximately 70% of work is performed in a sitting position.
  • Frequent exposure to the outside hangar areas for meetings and employee relations functions for varying lengths of time.
