Head of Accounting Operations - Remote

We are currently working with a pharmaceutical organization located northwest of Boston that is seeking a Head of Accounting Operations to join their team. This role will oversee a team of 6+ people within the accounting department, including the Accounting Manager and AP team. For the time being, this role can sit remotely however the team is looking for applicants who could commute to Lexington, MA when they return to the office.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day to day accounting operations
• Lead month end and quarter end closing processes
• Maintain internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements
• Support annual audits
• Collaborate with the FP&A department

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience
• Must have experience managing a team
• SAP required
• Bachelor's in Accounting required, MBA preferred
• CPA and experience working in public accounting preferred
