Key Responsibilities:

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Grounds Maintenance Multi Equipment Operator to support the Bradenton Facility to ensure the company's goals and initiatives are met.

This role will be responsible for safely operating logistics equipment such as forklifts, rolloff trucks, street sweepers, front-end loaders, farm tractors, sweeper/scrubbers, man-lifts, and high lifts. In addition, position ensures all safety rules, procedures, policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed. Position maintains facility premises according to Tropicana guidelines and government standards for cleanliness and supports production efforts as needed. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate logistics equipment such as forklift, roll-off truck, street sweeper, front-end loader, farm tractor, sweeper/scrubber, man-lifts, high lift etc.
  • Monitor and empty trash containers into appropriate receptacles
  • Ensure all safety rules, procedures, policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed
  • Adhere to PPE requirements set forth by the department
  • Police plant site for fruit, litter, and debris as directed and dispose of properly
  • Perform Master Cleaning Schedules to safely maintain all clean-up equipment to meet quality standards
  • Maintain facility premises according to PepsiCo guidelines and government standards for cleanliness and to support production efforts as needed
  • Recognize unsafe conditions and make immediate corrective action
  • Operate Trash Compactors to maximum usage
  • Ensure separation of trash, scrap wood, and scrap metal before discarding
  • Maintain all areas to 5 S standards
  • Meet sanitation goals and adhere to standards and regulatory agencies or are disposed of per standard operating procedures
  • Work with computer software such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Dashpad, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Participate in department safety audits and department walk-throughs
  • Stay up to date on all required peak performance safety training
  • Inspect and drain rainwater from secondary containment areas when required
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with TBG Values and Code of Conduct
  • Work independently and with limited supervision

Requirements:

  • CDL required

Helpful Experience:

  • Experience with assorted hand tools (i.e. drills, hammers, screw drivers, shovels, rakes, etc. for assorted tasks)
  • Experience with operating a forklift
  • Experience with operating grounds maintenance logistic equipment (forklift, rolloff truck, street sweeper, front-end loader, farm tractor, etc.)

Pay for this position is $20.34/hr
