Description
SAIC is seeking a senior cybersecurity engineer to join the Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) and Global Positioning System (GPS) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) team in El Segundo, CA. The PNT/GPS SE&I team provides specialized engineering, analysis, operations support, and subject matter (SME) expertise to Space Force customers. Team members provide an enterprise cybersecurity perspective for identification and review of risks and risk mitigation plans and work to institutionalize systems security engineering best practices across the PNT/GPS Enterprise. As a member of our PNT/GPS SE&I team, you'll work in a high-paced environment with Space Force personnel and system developers to ensure GPS remains the gold standard for position, navigation and timing.
Major duties of the position include:
Applying a combination of systems security engineering and knowledge of cybersecurity principles and architectures to design, develop and/or implement cybersecurity solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum cyberspace operations
Development of testable cybersecurity requirements, assessing system security architecture designs, and supporting the development and sustainment programs from concept development and contract pre-acquisition through contractor design and operational approval including RFP, SOW, CDRL, GR&A and other tasking guidance
Validating flow-down of Enterprise Capability Development Document (CDD) requirements to system specification, segment specification, contractor system specification, Interface Control Documentation and Interface Specifications for two-way traceability between the requirements baseline and the source documents
Identifying and documenting cybersecurity impacts from formal Requests for Change (RFCs) to or variance from the technical baseline
Performing adversary threat analysis using the MITRE ATT&CK framework to map key adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures from relevant threat actors
Supporting cybersecurity activities for space, ground, operations, logistics, and sustainment elements of the GPS Enterprise by identifying security-related engineering risks, issues, and interdependencies between system elements, contracts and stakeholders
Researching, developing and briefing complex technical data packages that provide cybersecurity analysis driven results to inform Government decision-makers
Collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Information Systems with 14+ years' experience
Possess and maintain a DoDM 8570 IAT Level III certification (e.g. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification)
Demonstrated system engineering and integration experience with DoD or Air Force space, ground, operations or sustainment segments
Clearance Level: Current Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly
Strong understanding of fundamental requirements development, requirements verification and systems security engineering processes
Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings.
Experienced at self-starting, seeking solutions, and works well in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
Strong familiarity with systems engineering and/or cybersecurity engineering principles identified in ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288.01, Standard for Application of Systems Engineering on Defense Programs, NIST Special Publication 800-160, Systems Security Engineering or DoDI 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology
Demonstrated experience working with DoD, Air Force or Space Force customers in an acquisition environment, with space and/or ground systems

Target salary range: $175,001 - $185,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
