OVERVIEW:

NOTE: Hybrid Work Location: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. This position requires an employee to be onsite as required for key meetings/workshops on a minimal basis.

The candidate selected for this position will be the lead Government Business Analyst responsible for the financial management of Government Contracts for General Motors LLC, including GM LLC Subcontracts issued by GM Defense LLC to GM LLC. The candidate will act as the compliance lead for government contract financial compliance from cradle to grave, including all financial documentation from proposal generation to Incurred Cost Submission.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate selected for this position will be the lead Government Business Analyst responsible for the business management of Government Contracts for General Motors LLC, including GM LLC Subcontracts issued by GM Defense LLC to GM LLC. The responsibilities of the position will include the preparation of cost proposals to government agencies, the generation of claims to these agencies for cost reimbursement or contract payment, the preparation of quarterly financial reports, and other financial documents pertaining to government contracts. The candidate will also support audits performed by government agencies and participate in the development of departmental policies and procedures. The candidate will act as the lead in compliance with required government business practices including the establishment of direct and indirect cost pools, the screening for unallowable costs, and the assessment of GM LLC's Annual Incurred Cost Submission.

Additional Job Description

Long-term assignment - minimum three to five-year commitment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and Professional certification or MBA with concentration in Accounting or Finance.
  • Two or more years of experience in a cost or financial function containing regulatory compliance with government contract terms as a key job responsibility
  • Experience in the development of compliant costing rates mandated by government cost accounting regulations
  • SAP working experience
  • Experience in the completion of a corporate Incurred Cost Submission

Preferred:
  • CPA certification and prior public audit experience strongly preferred
