In this leadership role, you will lead a group that is focused on driving customer growth across our suite of products and across channels (digital, retail, payments and omnichannel experiences). You'll drive the global product-led growth strategy and roadmaps for Western Union. As the Head of Product and Portfolio Management you will provide thought leadership, strategic insight, change management, and clear communication to the organization on go-to-market strategy, product plans and roadmaps. Your role will be to oversee Product Strategy and Innovation, Product Management and Governance, Global Portfolio & Delivery, and the Regional Product Management Office.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and be accountable for ongoing success criteria and global product OKRs.
  • Oversee the product operating budget ensuring a high return-on-investment for all product investments, maximizing revenue, profit and long-term product feature business value objectives.
  • Help drive the product management practice and culture, both in how we work and the design of the organization. Be a product ambassador, build product-driven structures, processes, and cultures, in order to ensure that products specifically target customer needs and consider the end-to-end experience across all interactions and business operations.
  • Build an outstanding metrics-driven customer growth experience based on a true understanding of customer needs.
  • Define priorities and product decisions in partnership with the product leaders. Monitor, and analyze product metrics and incorporate learnings back into the development process.
  • Research new technologies, understand the competitive landscape, and craft the development of a comprehensive product roadmap. Assess and identify future product capabilities that address key market opportunities and/or innovation.
  • Lead the product innovation process that guides the overall design and development of new products and/or partnerships needed to generate significant, new revenue streams and incubate ideas.
  • Oversee the global product portfolio management function. Drive standardization and adoption of agile practices across the product organization in coordination with the engineering leadership.
  • Serve as a critical member of the executive management team by providing the framework and structure for the execution of corporate-wider global product priorities.
  • Establishes trusted and productive relationships across the Executive Leadership team to drive change and execution across the business.
  • Work in partnership with key functional and country leaders to ensure that the organization has chosen projects that are globally aligned to business priorities.
  • Assess performance and execute focused analysis to measure global product performance and actionable insights to the c-suite.

Role Requirements

  • 15+ years' experience in a leading an organization with Product-related leadership responsibilities and/or driving product strategy.
  • International experience in Product-related leadership.
  • Experience as a Leader within a global financial service, and/or payment organizations
  • Proven experience in Agile Product Development Life Cycle

Salary

The on-target earnings range is $375,000 - $500,000 USD per year, which includes a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
