The GIS Analyst III for Market Expansion is responsible for expanded use of GIS capabilities, by curating data, analysis, web-applications and mobile tools that leverage GIS data to provide business intelligence. The GIS Analyst III role will collect and handle data, provide mapping services, perform technical research and analysis as well as coordinate market expansion activities.

What you'll do:

  • Transposes and transforms complex data from records maps, CAD drawings, city/county land base maps, network modeling and other source documents into GIS and/or related database
  • Maintains spatial data to reflect current assets and infrastructure for coax and fiber
  • Assignments are broad in nature requiring creativity and ingenuity
  • Advanced ability to implement and use geoprocessing tools, geospatial analysis and map production tools to support planning and management needs and studies
  • Has the ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Responsible for defining technical approaches to GIS projects
  • Provides technical expertise, consulting, and training related to GIS software and applications, spatial data, GPS technology and uses
  • Monitors and applies the best industry practices
  • Maintains data integrity and accuracy

What we're looking for:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent related experience.

Experience/Skills Needed
  • 5 years of GIS Analyst experience in a professional setting, preferably with telecommunications and market analysis experience
  • Advanced experience with Esri ArcGIS platform: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Esri Mobile Suite, Esri Enterprise Geodatabases, etc.
  • Experience publishing and consuming web services. Ability to leverage all data types for Analysis with ArcGIS Pro.
  • Advanced editing experience in ArcGIS Pro with the use of traditional and branch versioning techniques
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GIS principles and techniques in order to build business requirements for analysis and application configuration
  • Ability to deliver quality written documentation and presentations, including the ability to make technology consumable to end users.
  • Ability to understand market expansion and competition analytics to drive results.

Computer Skills:

Google or Microsoft suite knowledge, Internet software, e-mail, database software, advanced experience in ESRI GIS software.
