Roles and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will work across the full stack, building highly scalable digital solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth. The candidate will develop new features in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements. In addition to development, the candidate will ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and architecting thoughtful application design. Additionally, the candidate will work with Security, Business Intelligence, and IT to ensure that new capabilities comply with the information needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment.
  • Architect and build solutions end-to-end optimized for speed and scale.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Security teams to facilitate plans for solution development, taking into consideration all manner of alternative delivery models.
  • Translate high level business needs into requirements and develop technical solutions that support the business organizations and build sustainable and scalable data product.
  • Support analysts and data engineers to enhance information visualization through development of appropriate user interfaces.
  • Learn and share technical oversights to the development process including participating in code reviews with engineers in your team.
  • Continually recommend, develop, and implement improvements to scale, sustain and to remove bottlenecks.

Skill/Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or specialized training/certification. Or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years Analytics, sustainable product development, Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse implementation experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on work experience with Python/Integration scripting, Java, AWS infrastructure(like S3), web/API development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, ReactJS, AngularJS, and related technologies), database development like SQL, Snowflake.
  • Understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and experience working with external integrations (Web service, HTTPS, SFTP, FTPS etc) .
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands on work experience with MongoDB or other noSQL databases.
  • Experience with automated testing and building pipelines for CI/CD.
  • Proven track record delivering BI / analytics  solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to be technically self-sufficient.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical associates and vice-versa. Strong sense of customer service for internal customers.
  • Medical robotics has unique characteristics that will require immersion in clinical and technical training and he or she must come up to speed quickly– an interest and desire to learn are critical.
